3. Oregon State vs. Hawaii – Over 78.5 points

For the first time in the 2019 college football season, we get Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football in action with a midnight kickoff on the east coast. That’s how you know that the new season has begun as the diehard fans get to stay up until the wee hours of the morning watching one of the most exciting teams in the country in action against the Oregon State Beavers. And the points should keep flowing.

Despite the questions about Hawaii quarterback Cole McDonald after throwing four interceptions (and four touchdowns, for what it’s worth) and getting benched, the Rainbow Warriors showed that they are again going to be a top-tier offense. They put up 45 points against Arizona in the victory, putting the world on notice that the run-and-shoot is alive and well. At the same time, though, they allowed 38 points and Arizona was just a yard short of a game-tying touchdown in the final seconds.

On the flipside, Oregon State showed their offensive prowess last week as well, even if it was in a losing effort. The Beavers ended up in a shootout with Oklahoma State and were ready for it, putting up 36 points against the Cowboys. Furthermore, Oregon State also conceded 52 points that Oklahoma State seemed to put up relatively easy against them.

When you have that entire picture, this is looking like another big-time shootout between Hawaii and Oregon State. Both defenses clearly have their issues and both offenses are clearly capable of putting big numbers on the scoreboard. Even with a high Over/Under line of 78.5, you should take the over late on Saturday night.
