All Captain selections are major Flex considerations

DraftKings Showdown Slate Week 1: Bears vs Packers

Captain

Davante Adams-$18,900

In the last three games against the Bears Devante Adams caught 18 of 29 targets for 297 yards and two touchdowns. It should not be a surprise that he is the highest priced player to be in your Captain slot.

I will be utilizing a ton of Adams, as I believe that Rodgers will be looking Adams way early and often in the game. If you’re going to use Adams as your Captain, pairing him with Rodgers will give you the best chance at a big score this weekend.

David Montgomery-$12,300

One of the highest owned captain plays will most likely be David Montgomery. The game script favors the home team in what should be a close game leading to a ton of volume for the Rookie out of Iowa State. I am expecting more than 15+ touches in the game and a decent chance at finding the end-zone in his first NFL game.

I will be building a lot of my lineups with Montgomery as my Captain in hopes to differentiate my lineups with my flex plays.  A few ways to do that would be incorporating the Bears Defense along with the backup tight-end Adam Shaheen who looks to be the starter with Trey Burton likely out.

Correlation plays with a running back and defense are very effective in showdown slates, as the running back is more likely to see increased volume if the defense is shutting down the other offense which should generate more fantasy points for both plays.

Other Captain options to differentiate your lineups and give you a chance at the Million Dollar top prize.

Geronimo Allison $7400 – Bears defense was weakest against slot receivers last season. Allison is the primary slot receiver and should be on the field a ton.

Allen Robinson $12,900 – Robinson is one of the more physically gifted receivers in this league. His problem is consistency, as he could score anywhere from 1.4 to 34.3 points as he did last season.

Bears Defense $7,500 – The best defense in the league could easily score on defense or special teams.

Adam Shaheen $600 – If Trey Burton is out, Shaheen becomes Captain viable as he opens up every single player in your flex. The Bears like to incorporate their tight ends and if he falls into the end-zone a time or two he smashes his price. HIGH RISK PLAY
