DraftKings Week 1 Showdown: Flex

Aaron Rodgers-$12,400

If you’re playing Adams, Rodgers is very much in play as a flex option pairing the two together. I will not be utilizing Rodgers in the Captain slot as this game is likely a low scoring affair. Rodgers will not be in my core group, as I expect this to be a slug it out type game with both running games featured.

Aaron Jones-$9,200

Jones is simply too electric to keep off my board this weekend even though I believe this Packers running game will struggle against this Bears defense. While he is not a core play for me, I would be looking to fit him and David Montgomery in with some defensive pairings in what should be a sloppy opening game.

Tarik Cohen-$8,400

While I think he will get little to no work in the running game, Cohen is a perfect utility player that should see 5-7 highly efficient targets in the passing game. With a player that posses this much speed, he is someone you must sprinkle into your lineups in case he takes a couple to the house.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling-$7,400

One player that can take a top off a defense is MVS. I will have low ownership of the speedster but with LaFleur constantly talking about taking shots down the field, he is someone who has to be on your radar.

DraftKings Week 1 Showdown: Cheap Options

Cordarelle Patterson-$1,000

There has been some talk that the former Tennessee Volunteer has several specialized packages designed for him. One of the most electric players in the NFL, I will be using Patterson in some lineups for that slight chance that he breaks off a long run, or kick-off return in what should be a low scoring game.

Another correlation play would be pairing Patterson with the Bears defense as any kick return would reward both players.

Adam Shaheen-$400

IF Burton does not play he is VERY viable at $400 and also can be thrown in at Captain to build an absolutely stacked lineup.

DraftKings Week 1 Showdown: Special Teams / Defensive Flex Options

Bears Def-$5,000

A great defense that can easily force some turnovers that might lead to a touchdown.

Packers Def-$2,600

Trubisky is one of the more inconsistent quarterbacks in the league, he could easily throw a pick-six.

Mason Crosby Kicker-$3,200

Low scoring games are good for kickers and Crosby when he is hot is one of the best. I do not feel confident in the Bears kicking game “review playoffs 2018” and will not be playing their kicker.

DraftKings Week 1 Showdown: Game Script Thoughts

I believe this will be a very close low scoring affair with two bitter division rivals. Both first team offenses did not get a ton of work this pre-season which will probably lead to a sloppy opening game tomorrow night. You can get very creative this week with the pricing and game flow as both defenses are in play.

One player that I am full fading at this point is Mitchell Trubisky as he has a tendency to turn the ball over which makes a mediocre Packer defense viable as a flex option this week.

NFL DFS game by game breakdown: Week 1. dark. Next

The Bears defense is elite, which makes them both a flex and captain option as even Rodgers is susceptible to a pick-six. I would lean-to the under 46.5 and take the Packers +3 in what should be a great game between two hated rivals.
