MLB DFS top plays September 4: Can the Rockies roll L.A.?
Top MLB DFS hitters
Whit Merrifield – This is your chalk, cash game play at second base. Edwin Jackson is not good, I do not care what anybody tells you, and I do not care that he trolled everyone in two games a few weeks ago. People look too much into these things, and simply forget the fact that this is a minor league pitcher, that so happens to pitch in the majors. Anyway, Jackson has a .364 ISO, 35.7% FB rate, and 44% HC against RHH. In case you do not know, that is horrible. Whit does not hit RHP for a lot of power, but I honestly do not care. This bullpen is one of the worst in the league, and they will be in very early. Lock in the Royals as a top stack, and Merrifield as the top play at this position.
Jason Kipnis – Now what kind of top plays article would this be if I neglected to mention any Indians players against the likes of Ivan Nova. Well, Nova has a .203 ISO against LHH, with a 35% FB, and HC rate as well. Jason has a .212 ISO, 43% FB rate, and 41% HC against RHP. If you notice a trend in my articles, I will always do my best to target bad bullpens. This is no exception. Chicago has a terrible bullpen, ranked in the bottom ten in Baseball. The Indians will be a good stack all series long.
Adam Frazier – A player that doesn’t hit a ton of home runs, but he has been very solid for the Pirates as of late. I talked about how bad Miami is, and Dugger specifically. Frazier is likely to lead off in this spot as well, and most of his value will come from singles and runs scored. With a low ISO, lower HC, and only 31% FB against RHP, he should still be able to get on base on doing most of his damage that way.
