Top MLB DFS hitters

Francisco Lindor – The last man standing in Cleveland has been red hot at the dish. He is one of the top shortstops in the league, with a 45% HC rate, and 37% FB rate, combined with a .264 ISO. Nova will struggle and is not a very good pitcher. Frankie smashed a deep ball in his first at-bat against Dylan Cease, and in my opinion, Cease is a better pitcher than Nova. Either way, this will be a popular play, as Lindor always finds a way to yield a good deal of ownership.

Trevor Story  – Another player who has had a great year, despite some injuries. Trevor has a 44% FB rate, and 51% HC against LHP, with a .230 ISO. I already talked about Ryu and his recent struggles, so I will not harp on that again. Story has been great away from Coors Field also, which is always important when we are talking about playing Colorado hitters.

Adalberto Mondesi – While I mentioned that Jackson is bad against RHH, he is also bad against LHH. With a .298 ISO, 36% FB rate, and 44% HC against them, it is hard-pressed to say that Edwin is slightly better against lefties. Mondesi is a switch hitter, who is slightly better against RHP. He has a 33% FB rate, 38% HC rate, and .185 ISO against RHP. Also, do not forget that he is top five in the MLB in steals, and that is with missing significant time recently due to injury. If I were a betting man, which I am, I would say that Mondesi is going to be gunning for that top spot in steals. Lock him in with confidence.

Corey Seager – Corey has also been doing very good, and this is one of those days that we have so many great shortstops in play, that I feel bad not mentioning all of them. He has a .233 ISO, 43% FB rate, and 40% HC rate against RHP. Corey will be a great addition to a Dodgers stack, and he is coming off a very good August, and July, and hitting in the heart of this lineup, I have no problem playing Seager in the utility spot.
