NFL DFS: Tennessee Titans @ Cleveland Browns

Tennessee Titans

This is an offense, especially this week, that I have absolutely zero interest in. Marcus Mariota has struggled to establish any type of consistency or upside as a quarterback and I don’t see that starting this week against the Browns defense.

The one play that you could make a case for in GPPs would be Derrick HenryHe ended the season on a torrid pace last season, averaging over 20 carries and 145 rushing yards per game over his last four games. With that said, the Browns were a top-10 team in preventing fantasy points against the running back position, so I wouldn’t necessarily expect that type of outing.

Cash Plays: none

GPP Plays: Henry

Cleveland Browns

There may not be another team with loftier expectations heading into the 2019 season than the Browns and they immediately step into a nice spot against the Titans. Baker Mayfield had a season to remember, demonstrating elite accuracy and decision making and gets to welcome Odell Beckham Jr. to the team. The Titans were 21st in pass DVOA last season and 20th specifically against WR1s, making this a phenomenal spot to target this stack.

If we want to take it one step further, the Titans ranked 31st in pass DVOA against WR2s last season, making this an interesting spot to target Jarvis LandryHis role is set to decrease with Beckham in town and since we haven’t seen how it’ll shake out, I’d reserve him for GPPs, but the matchup is there.

Nick Chubb made quick work of the Browns backfield last season and should be a bell-cow again this season until Kareem Hunt returns from suspension. The Titans were rather middle-of-the-pack against the rushing game due to limiting rushing touchdowns, but Chubb is in line for a lot of work assuming the Browns jump out to a quick lead. On top of that, while they effectively limited touchdowns, they allowed an average of 116 rushing yards per game.

Cash Plays: Mayfield, Beckham Jr., Chubb, Browns D/ST

GPP Plays: Landry
