NFL DFS: Baltimore Ravens @ Miami Dolphins

Baltimore Ravens

This game may be one of the biggest snooze-fests of the slate, but with all of the hype around him, Lamar Jackson could be an appealing target in tournaments. Whether or not he actually throws the ball 30 times is the question, but against a defense like Miami it may not matter, as they ranked 23rd in pass DVOA and 24 in rush DVOA.

Seeing that the Ravens come in as the 7-point favorites, Mark Ingram immediately becomes a viable option in all formats. The Dolphins rank 24th in rush DVOA and Ingram doesn’t have a ton of initial competition for touches with Kenneth Dixon heading to the IR. Justice Hill will get his chance at some point, but for now, Ingram seems like he’s the clear lead-back.

There isn’t a single wide receiver on Baltimore with enough fantasy upside to target, but if you wanted to get really weird, tight end Mark Andrews has been a massive bright spot in preseason, but his upside seems a bit limited.

Cash Plays: Ingram, Ravens D/ST

Miami Dolphins

Much like the Titans in a previous slide, the Dolphins are a team that I will be fully fading this weekend.

Not only has their most explosive offensive player (Kenny Stills) been traded, the quarterback situation is in complete limbo. Ryan Fitzpatrick has won the week 1 starting nod, but against a Baltimore defense that was one of the best in the league last season, this has the making of a bad Fitzpatrick outing.

Kenyan Drake‘s reportedly going to be ready to go, but was in a walking boot two weeks ago and Kalen Ballage looked extremely inefficient in his preseason action. The receiving core has potential, but once again, this Ravens defense is not a spot where I want to take a shot on an already low-upside offense.
