FantasyDraft NFL: Week 1 RB picks

Le’Veon Bell, NYJ ($13,300)

Though this is supposed to be a low scoring game, I still expect the Jets’ offense to revolve their offense around Le’Veon Bell. It’s been a year and a half since we last saw Bell take the field. He didn’t see any action in the preseason but has expressed that he is ready to handle as much work as possible.

Bell is the ninth highest priced running back on the slate and is a whole $2,000 less than the top two (Saquon Barkley and Ezekiel Elliott). He should not be extremely popular this week but is a very exciting play with receiving upside.

Dalvin Cook, MIN ($12,500)

Priced just $800 below Le’Veon Bell, is a healthy (for now) Dalvin Cook. In games Cook started, last season, he averaged four receptions per game. He has only played in 15 games through his first two seasons but has proven to have a role in the passing game. Cook should see a majority of the snaps at running back on Sunday and as long as he is on the field, he has to be considered.

Devin Singletary, BUF ($7,400)

Following the release of LeSean McCoy, Devin Singletary immediately became the must-have running back in this offense. In a small sample size through the preseason, Singletary led Bills’ running backs in both receptions, and targets. He had his struggles running the football but should be the featured back in this offense. Frank Gore and T.J. Yeldon should both see some work as well, but for DFS purposes, Singletary is a nice value this week on FantasyDraft.

Alternate Options: Leonard Fournette ($12,500), Kerryon Johnson ($10,900), and Chris Thompson ($8,000).
