FantasyDraft NFL: Week 1 DFS picks
FantasyDraft NFL: Week 1 WR picks
If Stefon Diggs (hamstring) isn’t able to go on Sunday against the Falcons, lock Thielen into all of your lineups. The Vikings have a new-looking wide receiver room with Josh Doctson coming over from Washington and rookie Olabisi Johnson now thrown into the mix. There should be lots of targets headed Thielen’s way. With so many questions surrounding the top-tier, Thielen is a safe DSF bet as the ninth most expensive wide receiver on FantasyDraft.
This is a perfect spot for Dede Westbrook. The Jaguars will host the Chiefs in a Week 1 matchup that features the highest projected point total on the Sunday slate. He is also the number one wide receiver in a team that is on the right side of this game, as well. The Chiefs were ranked in the bottom quarter of the league in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers in ’18. If the Jaguars are playing from behind, expect Westbrook to be heavily involved.
James Washington, PIT ($6,000)
A cheap way to get some exposure to this SNF game is to roster James Washington. For whatever reason, the second-year receiver is priced at the bare minimum of just $6,000. Dollar for dollar, he may be the best value at the position this week. This game between the Steelers and Patriots has the fourth-highest point total on the slate and should be a fairly high scoring game. It’s still unclear who the number two wide receiver will be in Pittsburgh, as many are giving the edge to Donte Moncrief. However, Washington is $2,300 cheaper and is well worth the savings as a solid DFS play in Week 1.
Alternate Options: Tyler Lockett ($11,300), Christian Kirk ($8,900), Adam Humphries ($7,400), and Trey Quinn ($6,700).
