MLB DFS top plays September 7: JV will win the CY Young
Top MLB DFS Hitters
Alex Bregman – One of the best young talents in the game, Bregman is poised for another great performance. He has been exceptional against LHP, with a .338 ISO, 50% FB rate, and 50% HC rate. Kikuchi is going to be in for a short night against this high power Astro offense.
Corey Seager – This is a great mid-tier option and a decent addition to a potential Dodgers stack. Against RHP, he has a .227 ISO, 41% FB rate, and 40% HC rate. Bedde is pretty bad against LHP, with a .223 ISO, 32% FB rate, and 45% HC rate. Corey is never going to be a big home run threat, but he is hitting in the heart of a stacked lineup, with plenty of RBI opportunities.
Ahmed Rosario – This is one of my favorite plays at the position. Rosario is priced just below 3k, with stolen base upside, and he will be hitting at the top of the order which gives him more chances to score runs. Against LHP, he has a .223 ISO, and 39% HC rate. He does not hit that many FB, but Smyly gives up plenty of those. As a part of my dirt-cheap Mets stack, he will make for a great cash game play.
Marcus Semien – I wanted to list Marcus last because I just do not think he is quite worth the price tag. If you are going to pay that much, you might as well just go up to Bregman who is the much better player. Semien has been red hot at the dish though, with a .226 ISO, 40% FB rate, and 42.2% HC rate. He also offers plenty of stolen base upside, to go along with the number of runs he should score in this spot. Stack up these Oakland bats, and I do like Marcus as a lower owned GPP option.
