NFL DFS Week 1: Cash game breakdown

Nick Chubb – FD $7400 DK $6400

Ok everyone get your Chubb jokes out now. I would say I’m probably only half chub for Chubb this week but I can understand why people like him. There’s such a strong correlation with defenses and running backs and everyone seems to like the Browns defense this week so it stands to reason Chubb would be a good play as well. Tennessee doesn’t have the worst defense and I could see this game going under on the total. Odell being hampered by a hip helps Chubb here too.

Chris Carson – FD $6600 DK $5700

Similar theory to the Browns idea I posted above – the Seahawks defense looks like a solid play this week against the terrible Bengals. Generally, when a defense is a good play, the running back is also a good play. Add onto that the fact that the Bengals are expected to be terrible in all facets of the game, particularly on defense, and the price of Carson, I can get behind him being incredibly high owned and good chalk. Play him in cash games with Cook.

Mark Ingram – FD $6600 DK $5100

The price difference here is pretty staggering and although Ingram isn’t known for catching passes (and Jackson is not really known for completing them), I still like him a lot on DK. Keep in mind the reason I am pointing this out is DK is a full point per reception (PPR) and FD is half point so catching passes is more valuable on DK. I don’t think Ingram will be chalk but the Ravens are a heavy favorite against a terrible team and they’re also clearly the leading rushing team in the league.
