Fantasy Football Targets – Pittsburgh Steelers

As someone who bleeds black and gold, let me remind you how Steelers in New England has gone for the past umpteen years. The Pats are the windshield and the Steelers are the bug. That’s the way it is and the Steelers couldn’t have looked much worse Sunday night. Keep in mind this is nothing new in this scenario. Now let’s look at James Conner and JuJu Smith-Schuster, because they might be the prime example of getting studs for cheap.

Conner only played 31 snaps but this game was over early, especially since Mike Tomlin wanted to kick field goals. Conner finished as the RB6 last year in 13 games and was in the top 10 in points per game. He’s going to get the same workload he did last year when the script makes more sense. He’s a competent receiving back, but it made sense to save him up a bit.

This isn’t the first time I’ve used this stat from Heath Cummings of CBS Sports and it might be one of my favorites of the entire week-

In addition, let’s see how some elite receivers did last year against the Patriots.

DeAndre Hopkins – 8/78/0

Tyreek Hill – 7/142/3

Davante Adams – 6/40/1

Stefon Diggs – 5/49/0

Adam Thielen – 5/28/1

Antonio Brown – 4/49/1

JuJu Smith-Schuster – 4/40/0

Aside from Tyreek Hill who is attached to an offense that is a totally different level than everyone else, the Patriots shut guys down for the most part. Smith-Schuster is still going to wind up as a top 10 receiver and the time to get him is before he lights up Seattle at home this Sunday.
