PGA FanDuel Picks – Mid Tier Picks: ($10,000 – $11,000)

Marc Leishman – $10,900 – (Cash)

I am sure some of you had forgotten Leishman won during the fall swing last year at the CIMB Classic and were surprised to see him still hanging around the FedEx Cup playoffs long enough to make the finals. I did for a quick second, but then it sparked my memory that fall is officially Leishman SZN.

The 35-year-old Aussie has won four times on the PGA Tour in his career and has three top-five finishes in major championships, but over the last handful of years and especially last season he has excelled throughout the fall swing, and generally from August to January.

Leishman had a stretch from mid-February to mid-July last season where he mostly struggled, but a solo third place at the St. Jude Invitational seemed to have gotten him back on the right track. He did miss the cut at the Northern Trust and that does worry me a bit from a consistency point of view, but he followed it with a T-19 at the BMW Championship and a T-20 at the TOUR Championship.

Based on the fact that Leishman is the second highest-ranked player in the OWGR in this field, but the 7th highest priced golfer on FanDuel, the value looks too good to pass on. That right there should tell you how special Niemann,  Hovland, and Im are. I think Leish ends up the chalk here, but I will take Niemann over him 100% of the time.
