NFL DraftKings: Running Backs

Alvin Kamara $8,200

There is absolutely no reason for Alvin Kamara to be $1,000 cheaper than Saquon Barkley this week. In three games in his career against the Rams, Kamara has scored 39.7, 33.6, and 22.1 DraftKings points. The over/under on this game is 52, and you can count on Kamara being right in the middle of any offensive explosion that takes place.

Todd Gurley $7,000

Gurley is probably not going to be a recommended cash game play all season due to the uncertainty surrounding his arthritic knees. However, that uncertainty contributes to making him a fantastic GPP consideration. One of the more surprising stats from Week 1 is that the Rams only targeted their running backs once in the passing game against Carolina. I’m expecting Goff to get back on track at home by targeting his running backs against a defense that just allowed the Houston backfield to combine for 25% of their team’s receptions.

Chris Thompson $3,900

Does anyone expect the Redskins to be able to hang with the Cowboys this week? The injury to Guice, the game script, and the incredibly cheap price makes Thompson a borderline cash game lock. I’ll have some exposure in GPP lineups as well and just find ways to differentiate at other positions.
