Will Nick Chubb bounce back in week two?

Nick Chubb has been touted as one of the best up and coming running backs in the league. This is something that I am a supporter of, but after a dismal week one performance where Chubb rushed 17 times for 75 yards, and caught three passes for 10 yards and no scores, people are already questioning his fantasy MVP relevance.

Chubb drew a more difficult match-up in his first game than some people might realize. The Titans have always been a stout rushing defense, and that is going back to the Houston days. The Browns offensive line also didn’t do them any favors, and since the departure of the hall-of-fame offensive lineman legend, Joe Thomas, this line has not been the same.

It was not a good match-up for him, and all things considering, I am taking that performance with a grain of salt. Nick gets a much better match-up with the Jets in week two, where we saw a few decent big runs by Singletary last week.

I predict that Cleveland feeds Chubb early and often, and depending on the status of CJ Mosley come Monday, that could also play a factor in this game. We saw how bad this defense was once he left the game. I am buying into Chubb in week two, he goes for 100 yards, and a score, for a nice bounce back performance.
