DFS NFL Advice: Plenty of players struggled heavily in week one – which ones will bounce back?

In the world of professional football, even the best of players will experience the lowest of lows during the season. Nick Chubb, Aaron Rodgers, and Cam Newton all had very rough week one performances. Since Cam has already played his second game last night, lets start our DFS NFL advice with him.

Will Cam Newton bounce back?

Cam looked down right pitiful during the first game against the Rams. To be quite honest, Newton has just never really developed into the type of quarterback that we all thought he would be. Yes he is still dangerous with his legs, but this is a passing league.

His throwing motion has not changed since entering the league, and that is the biggest problem with him. The poor technique has led to him being a very inaccurate quarterback.

Needless to say he looked just as bad in his second game on Thursday night against Tampa Bay, which keep in mind, has one of the worst secondaries in the league. Newton threw for 333 yards, zero touchdowns and lost a fumble, completing 50% of his throws.

That is an ugly stat line. He threw plenty of deep balls, but just couldn’t connect on them. It’s the same song and dance on Cam, and if he is going to bounce back, he will need to change his mechanics plain and simple.

In my opinion, if he hasn’t put in the effort to work on his weak points by now, the chances of him becoming anything more than a mediocre quarterback are slim to none. Newton gets a great match-up with Arizona in week three, although I do not think he will bounce back, and this will be his worst overall season in his career.
