Draftkings NFL GPP pivots: Wide Receiver

Chalk: Sammy Watkins, Keenan Allen, Tyrell Williams, JuJu Smith-Schuster

Pivots: Tyler Boyd, Michael Gallup, Michael Thomas

I mentioned already that I like the Cincinnati passing offense this week against the Niners, and Tyler Boyd stands out as a great play again this week. He hauled in 8 catches for 60 yards last week and was targeted by his quarterback Andy Dalton 11 times. He failed to reach the end zone in that game, but as long as A.J. Green is out he is going to continue to be a target monster in this offense and an elite GPP play on a weekly basis.

Michael Thomas is not a sneaky play by any means, but he looks to be under-owned this week as his teammate Alvin Kamara is getting a lot more love from touts. The guy is a freaking machine, catching 10 of 13 targets last week for 123 yards. Like Boyd, he didn’t get in the end zone and yes, Drew Brees does spread it around to other guys in the red zone, but you have to love the volume that Thomas gets on a weekly basis. If he also happens to score a TD or two, then you’re looking a slate-breaking performance like we saw him have a few times last season.

I watched the entire Dallas game last week and I came away impressed by Gallup more than any other Cowboys player. He ran great routes and showed some excellent athleticism and route-running, catching all 7 of his targets. He is the missing piece for this Dallas offense and the guy they need to feed in order to keep Amari Cooper from being double-teamed and it looks like Dak has a ton of confidence in him already. Some might balk at his price increase, but he’s still too cheap for his role in this offense going forward.
