Draftkings NFL GPP pivots: Defense

Chalk: New England, Chicago

Pivots: Minnesota, Jacksonville

I have to say that I love the Bears defense this week against a Denver team that looked really mediocre on offense last week and I certainly won’t blame you for playing the Pats defense either. But low-owned defenses pop off every week as no position on your roster is more subject to variance than the D/ST.

I’m going to have a good bit of this Vikings defense this week. The Packers offense was largely unimpressive in their debut week 1. Now, part of that could have been due to the matchup against the Bears and a general rustiness from lack of preseason snaps, but I’m still not sold on them being an elite offense. Meanwhile, the Vikings defense look really impressive against an Atlanta team that has a bunch of weapons on offense. You usually don’t want road defenses very often, but I’ll make an exception this week.

The Jags are also on the road this week and facing a division opponent at Houston. While they were carved up by the Chiefs last week, I’m not going to hold that against them since I’m not too sure how many defenses won’t suffer the same fate this season. What I am really targeting here are some sacks, interceptions, and fumbles from this Houston offense. While they scored a lot of points on the Saints, they still failed to protect DeShaun Watson as he was running for his life most of the night.
