1. Cleveland Browns

Of all the teams who needed a win in Week 1, no one laid a bigger egg than the Cleveland Browns. After entering the year as the most hyped team in football, oddsmakers installed the Browns as 5.5 point favorites at home against the Tennessee Titans, a solid but unspectacular football team.

The Titans took the Browns to the woodshed, delivering a 43-13 beatdown in front of the Dawg Pound that led to the Browns getting booed off the field at the half. Baker Mayfield was very sloppy with the football, tossing three interceptions while the Cleveland defense couldn’t get off the field against an efficient Tennessee offense.

Browns’ fans are definitely waiting for the roof to cave in on them, and the alarm bells have been going off in Cleveland all week. After getting praised to high heavens after a strong offseason, going 0-2 would be an absolute disaster for the Browns.

The Browns hit the road this week for a huge showdown against the fifth team on our must-win list, the New York Jets. The Jets delivered a huge collapse in their Week 1 game, blowing a 16-0 lead before losing to the Buffalo Bills at home, and there should be a lot of nervous energy at MetLife Stadium on Monday night.

The Browns should be able to take advantage of a porous Jets’ secondary which struggled to contain John Brown and Cole Beasley, so Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry should be running free all night. A win here is massive for the Browns, who play four 2019 playoff teams in their next five games, so an 0-2 start could spiral quickly into another lost year in Cleveland.
