NFL DFS Week 2: Cash game breakdown

Derek Carr – FD $6600 DK $5100

Ok so last week we missed on quarterback because Jameis is terrible BUT it didn’t kill us because he was chalk and everyone was playing him in cash. That’s a perfect example of what I was talking about earlier and I think the same thing will happen with Carr this week.

By same thing I don’t mean he’ll do terrible (hopefully) but that he will be very highly owned on both slates. When you play against the Chiefs, their defense isn’t good and their offense is amazing so it ends up being a game that’s up in pace in a sense.

The team playing against the Chiefs is forced to throw the ball more and run more plays. Carr is so cheap he should be able to pay off his price pretty easily.

Josh Allen – FD $7500 DK $5300

I don’t see Josh Allen being very highly owned this week, at least on FanDuel, but man do I like him this week. He was honestly terrible last week against the Jets and yet he ended up having an excellent fantasy day.

We know the Giants are terrible on defense after what Dak did to them last week. Wish such a small price difference on DraftKings between Allen and the chalky Carr this week, I’m absolutely loving a pivot to Allen. Think about stacking him up for some nice differentiation or feel free to play him naked.

Jared Goff – FD $7600 DK $5900

Another guy I don’t really see being chalk this week but I have to provide some options here outside of just Carr. Goff has been terrific at home and this looks to be the highest total game on the slate.

The Saints defense is pretty solid on paper but this could be a high scoring affair and Vegas seems to think so too which is usually a good sign. If I played Goff, I’d definitely pair him up with Woods and I think that’s fine for cash but won’t be chalky. If you want to play a stack in tournaments, toss Kupp in there too.
