NFL DFS Week 2: Cash game breakdown

Sammy Watkins – FD $7400 DK $7200

Insert the Anchorman *well that escalated quickly* gif. Even the few people who played Sammy could not have seen him having such a monstrous day against the Jacksonville defense. Most of it came after the catch too where he was absolutely dynamic.

Add in the fact Tyreke Hill is out and you have potential for a breakout, even at this price point. I don’t know if he’ll be chalk to be honest but recency bias is definitely a thing and while we usually cite it in regards to a player doing poorly in their last outing and due for a bounce back, we can anticipate that in the other direction as well.

To explain further, say a good player has a terrible game. The next week, people will stay away from playing that player. Many tournament aficionados leverage this. We can take this concept in the other direction and say the general public will be all over Sammy Watkins because he did well last week. Something to keep in mind.

Tyrell Williams – FD $5900 DK $4400

Yes I have another Raider listed here and believe it or not he won’t be the last one. Here’s a general tip – take a look at who plays Monday night and does well. The price on them will not be updated to reflect that. That’s why we see all of these Raiders drastically under-priced.

Much like the rest of the Raiders I’ve listed, Tyrell is in an up pace match-up where they’ll have to throw quite a bit. He actually looked great against a solid Denver defense and secondary so I have to imagine he’ll do quite well against the Chiefs as well.

Cooper Kupp – FD $6800 DK $6000

I absolutely love Cooper Kupp this week. I haven’t really heard enough people talking about this game with a massive total and it doesn’t make a lot of sense. There should be multiple people from this game who are chalk but I’m not seeing it around the industry quite yet.

That being said, the tide may shift come Sunday. Kupp got a ton of targets last week and I’m expecting him to get more this week against the Saints. Hopefully he gets Eli Apple quite a bit and gets to go nuts. Load him on either site, especially DK, in all formats.
