NFL FanDuel: Week 2 TE Targets – (Early Only)

Evan Engram – $6,400 – (Cash)

I am gravitating more and more to stacking both sides of this Giants / Bills match-up as we get closer to lock. Normally I will stress targeting the games with highest Vegas totals as that is where the most points are expected obviously, but with our clear-cut favorite Patriots likely spreading the ball around making them hard to predict, I am putting an extra focus on individual match-ups.

That leads me to Engram. Buffalo is good against tight ends, but that wasn’t really tested last week as the Jets are lacking depth at the position and are without budding star Chris Herndon. This Giants offense is still awaiting the return of Golden Tate from suspension, and fellow wide receiver Sterling Shepard has already been ruled out of this one with a concussion.

Engram was targeted 14 times last week and caught 11 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. He and Manning are clearly on the same page, and he could easily see even more targets this week. The tight-end is abysmal below Delanie Walker in cash games, and the upside on Engram is making him a lock for me in all formats on this early slate.
