Fantasy Football Advice: Stats, Facts, and Tidbits

Steelers wide receiver James Washington was a college teammate of Mason Rudolph at Oklahoma State where he piled up over 4000 yards receiving and 33 touchdowns over his last three seasons there with Rudolph as his quarterback. The two have shown some nice chemistry in the preseason this year and last year. Look for Washington to get more looks going forward as the Steelers’ number two receiver with Donte Moncrief continuing to struggle with dropped passes.

The New Orleans Saints have an NFL-leading 9 sacks through two games and will square off against a Seahawks offensive line that has surrendered 8 sacks of Russell Wilson already.

The Miami Dolphins have been so bad on both sides of the ball this year, but their offense stands out as one of the potentially worst we may have ever seen in recent memory. They are last in yards per game, yards per play, time of possession, and turnover margin (-6).

The Detroit Lions vowed to commit to the run game this offseason and feed their young back Kerryon Johnson, but have the 6th most passing yards of any offense through two games. Stafford and his receivers could make for compelling plays against an Eagles secondary that got beat up for the second week in a row in their loss to the Falcons.

Let’s go back to the Ravens-Chiefs game for a minute and consider that we are going to see two drastically different style offenses. The Chiefs lead the league in passing offense with 405 yards per game while the Ravens have the top-ranked rushing attack averaging 223 rushing yards per game. Baltimore has the better defensive unit, but their strength is against the running game which the Chiefs may totally abandon this week.
