PGA FanDuel picks: The 2019 Sanderson Farms Championship
PGA FanDuel Picks – Top Value Picks: (Below $9,000)
Doc Redman – $8,500 – (GPP)
I have done enough tooting my own horn this week, it is time to own up to the mistakes, because there was definitely a few, and I can tie my top value pick Doc Redman into it as well. First of all… What happened to Jason Kokrak? That was sad as even I thought he had snuck into the cut line as my feeble mind seemed to have forgotten about yet another PGA Tour rule change.
Kokrak finished T-66, which would have gotten him to the weekend with a shot of having an MDF if he failed to finish inside the top 70 on Saturday. However, the new rule has completely done away with the MDF rule, and now the top 65 and ties make the cut. I even tweeted that I got 5/6 through to the weekend like an idiot, but later corrected myself of course.
There were other mistakes, like playing Anirban Lahiri in cash, but let’s face it Kokrak not making the cut at his salary was the huge bump in the road. While I hit on Niemann and Munoz and still had a profitable week, it could have been better. Same old DFS story I guess.
Back to Redman here though before we split. I have only written him up once and it was in his brief stint last year on tour. All I can say is that it did not go well, because I have not been able to trust him again quite yet since. That changes this week though, as this is just is a misprice, and I have to think he keeps it going here.
With over 40 Korn Ferry Tour graduates joining the tour, there is obviously a small handful who are extremely talented, and that small handful looks ready to contend.
When you look at Scottie Scheffler priced up at $11K but still see Redman down here at $8,500 along with last week’s value stud Robby Shelton at $8,600, it is hard not to pounce on these guys for your value.
There is not much to like here under $9K this week, and that fact alone might keep me to one lineup this week. It is either that or an insane amount of shares of Shelton and Redman, and I just haven’t decided quite yet.
