Fantasy football picks: Week 3 TNF Titans vs. Jaguars

Leonard Fournette – This is a ticking time bomb, just waiting to explode. During the off-season, there was quite a bit of talk about Fournette having a bounce-back season, after being plagued with injury most of last year. Through two games, we have yet to see him live up to the hype, but I will say that some of it are not his fault. The offensive line has been downright terrible, and that will make any good running backs job much more difficult.

On the flip side, he is third among running backs in snap percentage, at 92%. So why has he only gotten at most 15 rushing attempts? Well, playing from behind against Kansas City really limited his potential in that game, and in the Houston game, they were just stacking the box on him, forcing Minshaw to throw the ball. This game is perfect for him, it will be a slow-paced game script for both teams, where the point total will be low, and each possession will be a dogfight. I am willing to bet they finally give him 20 carries and he goes for his first 100-yard rushing game of the year.

DJ Chark – Gardner’s favorite young wideout, is back to match up with this Titans secondary. Between the three starting receivers, they each own around an 80% snap rate on the year, which is good because that means Jacksonville isn’t looking past those main three players very often. It’s difficult to say which corner Chark will draw, my assumption is Adoree Jackson who has been less than stellar to start the season.

Through the first two games, DJ has 13 targets 201 yards and two scores. He is obviously the favorite target of Gardner. This is very surprising considering Dede Westbrook was touted as the man to have in Jacksonville, all the way up until Nick Foles went down. Since that time, Dede has vanished off the map and is a thing of the past. We have a new sheriff in town, and Chark is set to dominate once again.
