DFS advice: Week 3 start or sit
DFS advice – D/ST to sit
Denver D/ST @ GB
Denver’s defense hasn’t been all that productive during the first two weeks of the regular season. They currently are averaging the third-least number of fantasy points per game (0.5) among all 32 defenses in the NFL. Only the Giants and Dolphins have done worse and that’s saying something. The Broncos will be facing Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, and we know that Green Bay can come at them from multiple angles. Whether it’s through the air with Davante Adams, or on the ground with Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams, the Packers are prepared to score anyway they can. Denver’s once-dominant defense from their Super Bowl run is a mere shell of its once former self.

Browns D/ST vs. LAR
Despite a lot of high praises given towards the Browns defense during the offseason, I’m not sold on them quite yet. Yes, they did shut down the Jets to just three points on Monday night this past week, but a majority of that can be attributed to the fact that New York is down to their third-string quarterback. If we are to reflect one week prior, the Browns struggled to contain the Tennessee Titans and their offense. Running back Derrick Henry had quite an afternoon against Cleveland’s defense as he rushed 19 times for 84 yards and a touchdown. He also added on with a big 70-yard receiving touchdown as well to add an exclamation point to the day. Cleveland will be welcoming one of the more potent offenses in the Los Angeles Rams for a Sunday night showdown at the Dawg Pound. I sincerely don’t think they are ready for such a big challenge just yet.
Houston D/ST @ LAC
Houston’s defense has been spotty in their first two games of the regular season. They were torched by Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football in Week 1. Then Houston followed it up with a stout performance on Sunday against Gardner Minshew and the Jacksonville Jaguars. From one extreme of the spectrum to the other we went in a matter of less than a week. We can’t trust that the Texans will be able to shut down the Chargers like as they did with the Jaguars last week.
Philip Rivers will be seeking retribution after letting his team’s game slip away from them last week against Detroit. Receiver Keenan Allen is playing at an elite level as he’s had the sixth-most receiving yards among wideouts this year, averaging 13.8 per catch. Even without All-Pro running back Melvin Gordon available, the Chargers still possess scary weapons on the ground. Austin Ekeler has been doing just fine in Gordon’s absence averaging 4.3 yards per carry on the ground, and an additional 13.6 yards per grab through the air. Avoid Houston for this week.
