DFS advice – RB’s to sit

Joe Mixon (CIN) @ BUF

It breaks my heart to do this because I’m a big Joe Mixon fan, but I can’t give out bad advice because of my personal bias. Cincinnati has just a plain awful offensive line and there’s very little that Mixon can do about it. He’s been one of fantasy’s biggest busts so far and it may be time to place him on the bench until something drastic changes. He’s currently only averaging 1.6 yards per carry and the Buffalo Bills are going to suffocate him, even more, this weekend. The 2018 AFC leading rusher is just a shell of his former self because the team around him is just not holding up their end of the bargain. Hopefully, Mixon can turn it around, but I sincerely doubt it.

Leonard Fournette (JAX) vs. TEN

The struggles continue for Leonard Fournette and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fournette hasn’t looked quite like himself since the 2017 Divisional game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Since then, he’s been plagued with injuries and a bad offensive line to create openings for him to find anything. Fournette’s efficiency has dramatically dropped as he is only averaging a little over eight fantasy points per game and four yards per carry. He’s also failed to find the end zone in his first two games this year, making him a less attractive option to start in fantasy. Keep your distance from Fournette for the time being.

Kerryon Johnson (DET) @ PHI

While Johnson did manage to have a fairly respectable fantasy outing against the Chargers this past week with his touchdown through the air, I’m still having my reservations about starting him. He’s only averaging 3.2 yards per carry and the Lions are still not using him as a bell cow as we have been hoping. Without the volume of carries and production efficiency at a low, I can’t see Johnson having a spectacular day in Week 3, especially when he’s taking on an Eagles run defense allowing the fourth-least number of total rushing yards to tailbacks (82).

Honorable Mentions: Le’Veon Bell @ NE & Adrian Peterson @ CHI
