DFS advice – WR’s to sit

Stefon Diggs (MIN) vs. OAK

Diggs appears on this list once again mainly for the same reasons I stated last week. Vikings’ quarterback Kirk Cousins is playing horribly causing Diggs to struggle. Minnesota also seems like they want to run the ball more with a heavy dose of Dalvin Cook as he is accounting for about 70% of the team’s snap shares. I’d still keep my distance from Diggs until Cousins can figure out a way to target him more. Averaging 4.5 targets per game is unacceptable for fantasy’s standards.

Jamison Crowder (NYJ) @ NE

After getting 13 receptions on 17 targets for 99 yards against the Bills, he came crashing back down to earth in Week 2. On Monday night versus the Browns, Crowder was only targeted six times, converting four of those passes into grabs for a meager 40 yards. The Jets are also down to their third-string quarterback in Luke Falk after Sam Darnold got sick with mono, and Trevor Siemian injured his ankle. Combine that with the fact that New York will be traveling to Foxborough and Crowder immediately becomes someone you will not want to touch with a ten-foot pole this week.

Jarvis Landry (CLE) vs. LAR

As I said earlier, Baker Mayfield is not playing as crisp as we were anticipating when the season began. As a result, some of his receivers like Landry are being negatively affected by this. Landry is currently averaging approximately nine fantasy points per game, which puts him as a fringe flex play. It’s too risky to count on him with the Browns’ offense not firing on all cylinders right now. Try to avoid starting him if possible until Cleveland can get on track which I feel they eventually will this season. Once Cleveland gets their mojo back, Landry will be launched back into starting range.
