DraftKings Week 1 Showdown: Cheap Options

Adam Humphries – $3,200

The Titans won a bidding war over the Patriots this off-season when they signed Adam Humphries. Through two games that is the only thing they have won when it comes to their slot receiver, as he has three receptions on just three targets. Slot receivers have killed the Jaguars in the past, as Cole Beasley roasted the Jags for multiple scores last season, could Humphries have a similar impact? He will be in my main core of Titans along with Henry, Walker, and Mariota as I feel they have the best chance to succeed in this tough matchup.

Tajae Sharpe – $800

He is just too cheap at just $800. If you need the salary coming down to Sharpe is a solid option as he will get some looks in the passing game and not see Bouye or Ramsey.

DraftKings Week 1 Showdown: Special Teams / Defensive Flex Options

With a total of 39 all special teams players are in play this week. This game should be low scoring allowing for the winning lineup to potentially carry two special teams options. While you can go Henry, Fournette, Titans, Jaguars, Kicker, I will be looking to play no more than two of the four tomorrow night. I prefer the Jags defense and kicker over the Titans but all four are very much in play.

Titans – $5,200

Jaguars – $3,800

Cairo Santos – $3,600

Josh Lambo – $3,400

DraftKings Week 1 Showdown: Game Script Thoughts

The Jaguars opened as a 6.5 point favorite over the Titans with a total of 48.5. After the Week 1 injury to Nick Foles, Vegas re-opened the Titans as a 1.5 point favorite and a total of 39.5. This game is going to be heavily focused on both ground attacks in what should be one of the lower scoring games of the season. I am going to focus my builds on the two running backs along with my favorite pass catchers and two special teams plays. I think the Jaguars respond after starting 0-2 and beat the Titans in a defensive slugfest 20-17.
