NFL DFS game by game breakdown: Week 3
By Joe Metz
NFL DFS: Chicago Bears @ Washington Redskins
Chicago Bears
The Bears are, like the Dolphins and Jets, not a team that I go out of my way to target. Not only are there too many weapons that already share the minuscule amount of volume to go around in this passing game, Mitch Trubisky is not a quarterback I like banking my money on, whether directly or indirectly.

David Montgomery, however, is an intriguing play to me this week. After receiving only 7 total touches in week 1, that number spiked to 19 in week 2, good for 67.8% of the backfield touches. On top of that, he led the team last week with 5 rushing attempts in the red zone while no other back had a single attempt.
The Redskins defense ranked 28th in the NFL in rush DVOA last season, making this an exploitable matchup for the rookie.
Cash Plays: Montgomery, Bears D/ST
GPP Plays: none
Washington Redskins
Much like the team above, I would have zero plans to target this team if this matchup were on the main slate, but we don’t have a choice here.
Against a stout Chicago defensive line, I see no way that Adrian Peterson does anything productive after averaging less than 3 yards per carry last week. Chris Thompson comes in as a nice value again on DraftKings, especially given the fact that he leads the team with a 21.18% target share as a running back.
Terry McLaurin is the only other option worth considering here as he’s held a 20.0% target share through his first two career games with a pair of touchdowns to go along with it. This Chicago secondary is no joke, however, so it’s best to reserve the rookie for GPPs only.
Cash Plays: Thompson (DK)
GPP Plays: McLaurin
