Fantasy football picks: Week 3 FanDuel GPP D/ST

Minnesota Vikings – This could not be a better spot for the Vikings against the Raiders. Oakland has struggled to start the year, which shouldn’t surprise anyone. Josh Jacobs is currently questionable, while he is likely to play, if he were to sit, or be limited in any way, this is a major boost to the already great Viking defense. Carr has not been very stable either to start the year, and Xavier should be able to shut down Williams with ease, and that will force the ball into the hands of Renfrow and Waller who are much less of a threat.

Tampa Bay – This is a defense that I did not anticipate ever writing up. With New York finally benching the most washed-up quarterback currently starting on an NFL team, Daniel Jones will take over the reigns of this dismantled offense. I think Tampa’s strategy will be pretty straight forward, stack the box. Forcing Jones to throw a lot in his first NFL start, is going to result in plenty of turnovers. Sure he did look solid during pre-season, but that is why it’s called pre-season. I really like this defense, especially after holding the likes of Matt Breida and McCaffrey to mediocre performances.

Green Bay – I’m not going to spend much time in this defense because it’s a pretty straight forward play. Green Bay has look outstanding on defense, forcing four turnovers last week against the Vikings, and getting five sacks allowing three points to the Bears in week one. Adding Preston Smith and Amos really boosted this defense during the offseason. Denver and Joe Flacco will be an easy task, for this red hot defense.
