NFL FanDuel: Week 3 WR Targets – (Early Only)

Kenny Golladay – $7,000 – (GPP)

After catching just four passes on nine targets in week one against Arizona, I was already worrying about what impact Golladay would have on this offense this season. He is an incredible talent at 6’4″ who is clearly Matthew Stafford’s favorite target this season, and he was able to bounce back after his fairly poor start as he hauled in eight of 10 targets for 117 yards and a touchdown in week two win at home against San Diego.

Detroit will be on the road in Philly to face the Eagles, and they have been one of the worst teams against the pass in the early goings. Philadelphia allowed 105 yards and two scores to Julio Jones last week, and they let Redskins rookie number one WR Terry McLaurin get loose for 125 yards and a score in week one. Golladay feels cash safe this week along with Stafford, but there are just too many other cheaper options at this position. I am definitely running this stack in a tournament, however.

Emmanuel Sanders – $5,700 – (Cash)

This is another one that is just too hard to pass on, considering the price just feels way too low. Sanders was a non-factor pretty much the entire season last year but things are different so far this season, as it seems he has a solid connection with new QB Joe Flacco. This is a good thing, but not much else seems to be working for Denver this season. They have a tough task here at 0-2 going into Lambeau Field to face the Packers, and they will likely be throwing a ton in this one in the second half.

Sanders has been targeted 20 times and has caught 16 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns. With the price, game script, and what he has done averaging over 20 FDP per game, this is another cash game lock for me.

Nelson Agholor – $4,800 – (Cash)

Rounding out the WR corps this week, I would be doing you a complete disservice if I did not at least warn you that this is Nelson Agholor chalk week in cash games. This is a dream spot  against the Lions in as scenario where he will not get Darius Slay in coverage, is coming off of a big week in which he posted an 8-107-1 stat line on 11 targets, and the Eagles will be without Desean Jackson who is listed as doubtful, and possibly number one receiver Alshon Jeffery who is listed as questionable. Jeffery did not practice this week until he did so in a limited fashion on Friday, but he could give this one a go.

He will likely be popular in GPP’s as well, and this is the perfect spot to find a pivot. It’s not that I do not think he will have a good game and be heavily involved, this is just also the scenario of when an underpriced cash game lock could completely flop, and if you can find a pivot in this price range or a little higher maybe, it will certainly help you from an ownership perspective.

In my GPP build, Devin Smith is shaping up to be my pivot away from chalk Agholor. Smith is a deep threat that scored a touchdown last week against the Redskins. He will get an opportunity with Michael Gallup sidelined for up to four weeks, and I think most of the focus on the Cowboys receivers will drift to Randall Cobb, who is just $100 more. Don’t tell everyone, but my super sneaky GPP play is down there below as well in Miles Boykin who is a great GPP pivot away from a likely popular Hollywood Brown and Mark Andrews. There are plenty of solid value options on this slate for WR, so I will pay up at my two RB’s spots and my FLEX as well.

***Also Consider or FLEX: Marquise Brown $6,100 (Cash/GPP) – John Brown $5,900 (Cash/GPP) – Devin Smith $5,200 (GPP – Value) – Miles Boykin $4,500 (Min-Price GPP Value)***
