DraftKings Showdown Slate Week 3 GPP Builds: Browns vs Rams

Captain-

Odell Beckham Jr – $16,500

The most explosive player on the slate is a must for some of your Captain lineups. He is also a great flex or Captain in all Rams onslaught stacks as well. It is likely that the Browns will be trailing in the second half forcing this Browns team to become one-dimensional funneling targets to Beckham. I believe he is the best Captain play this week.

Cooper Kupp – $13,500

The Browns have two very good young corners in Denzel Ward and Greedy WIlliams, making the slot matchup with Cooper Kupp the direction I am looking to go for the Rams. He is also the most targeted receiver on the Rams offense (19) and sees the most red-zone targets. I will have Kupp has my second highest owned Captain.

Other Captain options to differentiate your lineups and give you a chance at the 250k top prize.

Jared Goff – $15,900

If you’re stacking the Rams pass catchers this week, it will be important to have some shares of Goff not only as your Captain but also in the flex as well. While I do think this Browns team will cause issues for Goff with its pressure, the depleted secondary will not be able to holdup against the best play-caller in the game Sean McVay.

DraftKings Week 1 Showdown: Flex

Todd Gurley – $9,600

The biggest issue with Gurley is not knowing how much work he is going to get each and every game this season. I simply cannot trust Gurley’s usage enough to make a case for the Captain position this week. The game script looks to be the spot for the Rams feature back, but they have made it known how much they want to monitor his workload making him a flex play for me this week.

Brandin Cooks $8,600

As I stated earlier with Kupp, I want as much of this Rams passing attack as I can get. I view Cooks as the second best value at the receiver position for the Rams this week. If Denzel Ward misses, Cooks value increases in a very favorable matchup.

Robert Woods – $8.,400

Well that leaves Robert Woods as the third best option in this Rams passing attack. Much like Cooks and Kupp, I am looking to leverage the field, as I stack multiple pass catchers with Goff in this slate. While he might be the third best Rams receiver, I still view him as the fourth best pass catcher overall on Sunday night football.

Malcom Brown – $4,200

A sneaky cheap option should the Rams get a two score lead would be closing out the game with Malcom Brown. With Gurley’s usage down, that further increases Browns value in GPPs. He has already shown the ability to vulture away goal line touchdowns taking two in week 1.
