2020 NFL mock draft: Saints take Joe Burrow
By Brad Weiss
The Kansas City Chiefs continue to roll in 2019, thanks to the strong right arm of Patrick Mahomes, who is basically a video game at this point. Mahomes had another huge game on Sunday, this time against an elite defense in the Baltimore Ravens, and stands alone as the best quarterback in the game right now.
Of course, in order for Mahomes and the Chiefs to reach the mountain top, they will have to eventually beat the New England Patriots, who look dominant on both sides of the ball. While the Chiefs have an unbelievable offense, their defense still has some holes in it, and they will look to add to it via the NFL Draft next April.
One area where they could use some help is in the secondary, and a cornerback like Paulson Adebo from Stanford would be a nice addition back there. Adebo is solid coverage, and is a good tackler, a combination Kansas City has been missing on the backend. If they fix the issues on defense, they could be unbeatable.
The Los Angeles Rams took to primetime in Week 3, as they took on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday Night Football. For all the talk surrounding the Browns this offseason, it was the Rams who got the job done on Sunday night, beating Baker Mayfield and company pretty soundly on both sides of the ball.
Looking at this team as a whole, there are very few holes in the roster, but they could use some help on the interior of the offensive line. One interior offensive lineman who figures to go in the first round next April is Tyler Biadasz from Wisconsin, who can play both guard, and center at the next level.
The Rams are a team built for this season, and many seasons ahead, as they have already locked up some of the key pieces to their roster. Sean McVay is an innovative offensive genius, but this team needs to get better up front on offense if they ever want to reach the mountain top, and bring a Super Bowl back to Los Angeles.
