2020 NFL mock draft: Saints take Joe Burrow
By Brad Weiss
The Washington Redskins suffered their third straight loss on Monday night, as they hosted a fired up Chicago Bears team looking to make a mark on national television. The Redskins tried to hang in with the Bears, whose defense proved to be too much, causing turnovers, and really rattling quarterback Case Keenum.
Heading into 2020, Keenum will no longer be the Redskins quarterback, as they are going to turn to 2019 first round pick, Dwayne Haskins. So far in 2019, the Redskins have seen one wide receiver develop into a legitimate threat in Terry McLaurin, and now they must go out and get him a partner in crime.
When it comes to the wideouts in this draft class, there is no better talent than Jerry Jeudy of Alabama. With a quarterback like Haskins, who has the arm to go deep at any time, the combination of Jeudy and McLaurin would give the young signal-caller one of the better young wide receiver duos in the NFC East.
The Cincinnati Bengals knew they were going to struggle in their first season with Zac Taylor as the head coach, as he is in his first season ever in that role. However, they have certainly played hard through the first three games of the NFL season, and could have as many as two wins on their docket through three weeks.
Sitting at 0-3, and with a tough schedule ahead of them, there is good reason to believe that the Bengals are going to be picking very early next April. With their first round pick, they should look to bring in the best overall defensive player in this draft class, and that man is Chase Young from Ohio State.
There is reason to believe that Young will be the No. 1 overall pick next April, but if he is available at No. 4 to Cincinnati, he fills a huge hole for this team defensively. Sure, some believe that the Bengals may roll the dice on a new franchise quarterback in 2020, but Andy Dalton has looked fine in Taylor’s offense, and the Bengals could go the defensive route this early in round one.
