15. player. 44. . OLB/Safety. Atlanta Falcons. Isaiah Simmons

The Atlanta Falcons continue to be one of the more frustrating teams in the NFL, looking so  good one week, and so bad the next. After a stellar victory against a playoff contender in the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2, the Falcons came out and laid an egg against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3, leading to more questions about the team as a whole.

When I look at this roster, it is clear that they need help on the defensive side of the ball, as their defense can look so bad at times. One player who they could look to target is Isaiah Simmons from Clemson, who is by far one of the more versatile defensive players this draft class has to offer.

In Simmons, the Falcons could be getting a guy who not only can play outside linebacker, but also safety, as he is cut out of the Derwin James mold. The Falcons need to do whatever they can to upgrade that side of the ball, and in Simmons, they would be killing two birds with one stone for a team that needs to get it correct on defense.

. Offensive Tackle. Los Angeles Chargers. Trey Adams. 16. player. 13

The Los Angeles Chargers had an opportunity to really make a statement in Week 3, as they played host to the Houston Texans this past Sunday. Unfortunately for Chargers fans, this is starting to look like a season of missed opportunities, as the once-Super Bowl favorites have looked very ordinary through three weeks.

Maybe this is the end of the line for Philip Rivers, who has defied Father Time with stellar play well into his 30s. Whoever, is the quarterback in 2020, or beyond, they need better protection up front, and with Russell Okung’s long-term health in question, using a first round pick on an offensive tackle makes sense.

Washington’s Trey Adams should have been a first round pick last year, but he hurt his knee early in the season, and decided to return to campus for another go-around with the Huskies. He is certainly good enough to start right away at the NFL level, even on the left side, and a franchise left tackle is something the Chargers have been looking for for quite some time.
