PGA DFS: Safeway Open punt plays and value
AARON BADDELEY
Going strictly off tournament history we find Baddeley who has made cut 4/5 tries with a T4 in 2019. Normally a very streaky and volatile player, the reduction in risk with Aaron is on the green surfaces. In this instance, if you were to put him on the Poa Annua greens, he’s shown significant improvement over faster more flat variances.

What gives a glimmer of hope is his ability to get up and down and make clutch putts on Poa. This is evidenced by +1.8 SG around the greens and +2.4 SG Putting on this grass type over his last 15 events. He is definitely a deep flyer, but course comfort and history should pay off.
TYLER MCCUMBER
Son of famed PGA Tour player Mark McCumber, Tyler has made a name for himself on the Latinoamerica and Canada PGA Tours. Known as a longer hitter, Tyler spent the majority of his time on the KFT in 2019 where he averaged 317 OTT and 65% driving accuracy. He had 5 top 10 Finishes most notably a T4 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trial- are we noticing a trend here?
RTJ is Silverados Course Architect! Along with this over his first two events on the PGA Tour, Tyler is predominantly gaining strokes in OTT (+2.1) and T2G (+1.6). These are great stats to match a punt play as it signifies a great ball striker. At near-minimum price on both sites, he makes a great punt.
