DraftKings showdown Week 4: Cheap Options

Jamaal Williams – $5,000

He is currently seeing 49% of the snaps while Aaron Jones has been on the field for 53% of snaps. Head Coach Matt LaFleur has already said that he wants this to be more of an evenly split backfield, making Williams a flex play option at only $5,000. I will not have a lot of this Packers rushing attack though as the Eagles have been excellent against running backs allowing only 12.9 fantasy points to running back (5th Best in league). I would imagine that Rodgers targets this secondary, checking out of as many runs as possible. The only way that Aaron Jones reaches value will be if he gets into the end-zone, which is why he is a fade for me at $9000.

More from DFS

Geronimo Allison – $4,200

I have already stated my reasoning for wanting as much of this Packers passing attack as possible, Allison is still the third receiver in this offense and someone you must have in some lineups to balance out your roster construction.

Mack Hollins – $2,400

One thing that I found odd last week was how many people were hyping up Arcega-Whiteside last week as the perfect pivot from Nelson Agholor. That simply was a terrible line of thinking as Agholor was targeted 11 times without Jackson and Jeffery while Whiteside saw only four. I am sure that people will jump back on the Whiteside bandwagon this week but having only played 72% of snaps, I would rather pivot to Mack Hollins who played 99% of snaps and saw 15 targets compared to Arcega-Whiteside’s 7 with Jeffery and Jackson out.

Dallas Goedert – $1,000

It is no secret that the Eagles want to play a ton of two tight end sets and with the best tight end combo in the league, who could blame them. He is simply too cheap for what he can deliver at just $1000. The Eagles should be trailing making it more likely that each Eagles pass catcher pays off his price tag making Goedert one of my favorite cheap options.

Marcedes Lewis – $600

Give me all of the Packers pass catchers that I can get and at only $600, Lewis only needs a couple catches to smash his price-tag. He will also be in on goal-line situations providing more value if you really need the savings on some premium builds.

DraftKings showdown Week 4: Special Teams / Defensive Flex Options

Packers – $4,800

While I will not have a ton of exposure to the Packers defense, Wentz has taken a beating the past few weeks making them viable if he gets knocked out of the game. The Packers are also at home and more than a field-goal favorite which should lead to more drop-backs which in turn gives more scoring opportunities for your defense to sack the quarterback. While I will only have a few contrarian builds of the Packers defense, they’re in play at very low ownership.

Mason Crosby – $3,600

Jake Elliott – $3,400

I believe these offenses will be able to move the football which adds value to the kickers Thursday night. While I am not building any two kicker combinations, both kickers are perfect for builds the opposite of your Captain. For example, if you have Adams, Rodgers or MVS in your Captain slot, going with Elliott is a much better build than Crosby as you’re expecting touchdowns from your core group of Packers in order to win the tournament.

DraftKings showdown Week 4: Game Script Thoughts

The Packers opened as a three-point favorite, with a total of 48 points. While the total has come down to 46.5, the Packers have moved to a four-point favorite. I believe this Packers offense comes out firing as they average 15 points in the first half compared to the Eagles 8. Look for Rodgers to get Adams involved early and often in what should be a smash spot for this Packers passing attack having me run it back with Wentz and Agholor or Ertz in most builds. I believe the Packers win and cover unless the backdoor is open late while this game goes over the 46.5.
