NFL DraftKings: Tight Ends

Evan Engram $5,700

Why exactly is Engram still priced considerably lower than Travis Kelce? The Giants’ tight end has been a total stud and should see even more targets with the injury to Saquon Barkley. Look at it this way – if Engram was listed as a wide receiver he would be the 4th highest scoring player at that position available on this slate.

More from DFS

He’s averaging 10 targets per game and has shown a ceiling of over 30 points. Can you imagine a wide receiver averaging 22.9 points per game only costing $5,700? The tight end position is notoriously volatile, so you should feel great about locking in a player like Engram even if he’ll carry high ownership.

T.J. Hockenson $3,300

Hockenson is the 4th Lions’ player I’ve written about, and he’s definitely the one that gives me the most pause. However, in what should be a positive game script, Hockenson will have an opportunity to remind everyone why they were so excited about the first-year player out of Iowa University.

A quick glance at last week’s box score doesn’t tell the whole story about Hockenson’s performance. He had a touchdown called back due to a penalty and dropped another pass that would have resulted in a touchdown as well. Enough owners have been burned by him, that he will be low-owned even in a smash spot against the vulnerable Chiefs defense.

NFL DraftKings: Defense/Special Teams

Houston Texans DST $3,100

Kyle Allen looked like a world-beater last week, but are we sure that’s who he is? Arizona’s defense is among the worst in the league so it should come as no surprise that he performed admirably in Cam Newton‘s absence. A road matchup in Houston could prove to be considerably more challenging. Houston has an above-average pass rush that could get to Allen and force him into making a few mistakes. Deploying the Texans’ defense is also a great way to gain leverage on the people who will be chasing Allen’s points from last week.
