3. Manchester City score four at Everton

Watford has the misfortune of facing Manchester City after a defeat last weekend and most soccer fans were expecting a big result of the Light Blues. However, it’s unlikely that many would have predicted an 8-0 victory for Pep Guardiola’s side.

The Hornets were awful in all three thirds of the pitch but Manchester City were simply sublime over the course of that 90 minutes. They bagged another 3 goals in a comfortable 3-0 win over Preston in the League Cup.

Everton ended a six match home winning streak last weekend when they were downed by 2-0 by Sheffield United. The Toffees have been hit and miss this season but made a slight recovery in their midweek Carabao Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Welcoming Manchester City to Goodison Park isn’t the easiest third match in seven days either and Marco Silva’s side will have to be at their absolute best to get anything from this match. It’s hard to see them remaining competitive in this match, especially considering they’ve only scored five league goals whilst conceding nine.

Last season, Pep Gaurdiola’s side won both fixtures against the Toffees and the Spanish manager will be expecting his side to take all three points this Saturday. As long as they can keep Everton out then they should win this one as the Merseyside club will present them with chances.

Marco Silva’s side have a terrible defensive record from set-pieces and they’ve conceded some sloppy goals this season against the likes of Wolves and Bournemouth. Manchester City will score two in the first half, two in the second half and Everton will notch a late consolation as it finishes 4-1 to City.
