EPL DFS: Value Attackers

Philip Billing (West Ham @ Bournemouth, $11) – If FanDuel is going to leave Billing this cheap all season, then he’ll never be off my radar as a value guy.  I wrote him up last week and he came through with a 23-point game, more than double his price tag.

His defense peripherals are as good as you’ll find for anyone at this price, plus he’s a decent attacker who can add in an occasional shot on goal or chance created.

Like I said with Anderson, I can see this game being played very openly which should be great for peripherals.  Billing is averaging 17.7 fantasy points at home, so I’m more than willing to grab him for $11 and save some salary.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Southampton @ Tottenham, $11) – Billing likely won’t be chalk so you don’t need to fade, but if you want someone else for the same price take Hojbjerg.  Tottenham are allowing opposing teams to get a lot of clearances which should benefit Hojbjerg, plus this is a good match-up for him to get other defensive peripherals with Tottenham likely controlling the majority of the ball possession.

Three of Hojbjerg’s top four scoring games this year have been on the road in similar situations.  He has a good chance of outscoring his price tag, but his upside is limited.

Pascall Gross (Brighton @ Chelsea, $10) – Gross is the first player from this game that I have enough interest in to write up (I do like Tammy Abraham some but for $20 there’s other guys I like).

Chelsea quietly has given up the third most goals this season, making this a good match-up for Brighton.  However, Brighton are not a good road team and their best odds to score are with Neal Maupay ($14) at +230.

I’m much more interested in Gross for $4 cheaper and with his ability to create chances.  He started the season not playing well, but he has 9 chances created in his last two games.  I want to get some exposure to Gross in a good match-up before his price rises.  He’s a great way to save some salary.

Marvelous Nakamba (West Ham @ Bournemouth, $9) – Nakamba was in my write up last weekend and put up 16.7 fantasy points at minimum price.  He’s up a whole dollar, but I’m still on him.  He’s getting a ton of tackles and some other defensive peripherals.

I don’t see any reason to hesitate to play him if you need a guy this cheap.  I’ve talked about how I like guys in this game who get peripherals, and now you can add Nakamba to that list.

Adama Traore (Watford @ Wolverhampton, $8) – You’ll rarely find a minimum price guy in as good of a match-up with as good of odds to score than Traore on Saturday.

I’ve touched on Watford’s inability to keep opponents out of the net, and Traore has Wolverhampton’s third best odds to score.  That’s pretty great for an $8 guy.  He doesn’t always play a full 90 minutes which I don’t like, but I’ll still use him if I need.
