Welcome to the Friday FINAL 2019 edition of MLB DFS Picks and Pivots, a fantasy baseball column focused on helping you find the best core lineup for this slate of DFS action!

Well, ladies and gentlemen, we have made it to the final Picks and Pivots MLB DFS slate for the 2019 regular season and after starting the year off all the way back on March 28th with Opening Day, here we are on September 27th for the last weekday slate to play before our collective focus turns to Week 4 in the NFL this weekend.

It always amazes me when I get to these final articles each season just how much I actually have written, essentially covering every slate for the last 6 months of the Major League Baseball season.

As I always do in these final articles, I want to THANK YOU – the readers – for coming to this article and FanSided Fantasy sports each and every day for your DFS and fantasy fix. It would be very tout-like here to talk about winnings, DFS profit and the dreaded screenshot life that is the disgusting underbelly of the DFS Twitter world but you all know me better than that by now.

Sure, I hope you won some money but really I hope you walk away from this MLB DFS season with a better understanding of how to build rosters and the way to approach slate strategy each and every time you fire up your DFS applications.

Most importantly, I hope you had some fun. It sounds silly, but far too often in this DFS world – both as a content provider and as a player, we may get burnt down by the daily grind that is DFS when this is really all supposed to be fun.

I am not a tout. I am not a “DFS pro.” I am a regular guy who has a real-life job, with real-life responsibilities and DFS has been and always will be, a hobby for me that allows me to immerse myself in my spare time (as small as that may be) in sports, analytics and the competition between myself and other players to build the best roster.

I wake up every single day at 4 AM EST, hours before my wife and kids get up and before my real day starts – and the only reason I do that is for Picks and Pivots – to know I have the time to break down a slate, write it up and get it out to you guys.

If you think playing DFS can be a grind, try waking up at 4 AM EST to realize you have to write up Glenn Sparkman in the middle of July.

But that’s the fun of this – it is why I play and why I write, and I hope you guys had fun along the way with me and the whole crew here at FanSided Fantasy. The daily grind of writing – believe me, I am not alone on this team – I never thought at 4:30 AM on a Tuesday morning, I would be up writing an article while getting pings from our writers that their articles are almost done, and debating which stacks were the best before most people are even awake.

It is an absolute privilege to have this platform and while I am admittedly excited about the couple weeks off before NBA – do not worry – NBA DFS Picks and Pivots is just weeks away and all my Jon Lester images will soon be replaced by Tim Hardaway Jr.

Let’s get into this slate and try to go out with a bang!
