Yahoo NFL – Daily fantasy football: Week four picks
By Raju Byfield
Yahoo NFL: Darren Waller ($18 salary)
Essentially the Oakland Raiders number one receiver, Darren Waller has an incredible 30 percent market share on the season. The former wide receiver is an extremely difficult cover for linebackers and smaller safeties.
His usage is no fluke as Jared Cook also led the Raiders in targets and receptions in 2018. The Indianapolis Colts have been susceptible to tight ends and are surrendering the sixth most fantasy points to the position.
On average they have allowed six receptions for 60.33 yards receiving and 0.67 touchdowns. Most recently they relinquished a six reception, 66 yard and two touchdown outing to the Atlanta Falcons Austin Hooper.
Yahoo NFL: LeSean McCoy ($18 salary)
LeSean McCoy is good to go for Week 4 and is slated to get another start with Damien Williams sidelined for the second week in a row.
McCoy played through his ankle injury last week and scored two touchdowns on his way to 21.5 fantasy points. McCoy is healthier this week and will once again operate as the lead back and should see more touches providing he does not aggravate his injury again this weekend.
On the season, Detroit has surrendered 23 carries, 102 rushing yards and 0.67 touchdowns per contest to the running back position, for a 4.43 average.
They have allowed 5.33 receptions for 67.67 receiving yards per game. Facing a team allowing over 150 yards from scrimmage and 4.43 yards per carry sets McCoy up for success in this contest even if he cedes workload to Darrel Williams. Fire McCoy up if you are looking for a high floor option in this salary range.
Jacksonville Jaguars D/ST ($13 salary)
If you ignore the Kansas City loss, the Jaguars are averaging 11.5 fantasy points per contest. Their -4 against Patrick Mahomes needs to be contextualized in order to accurately evaluate them as an option against the Denver Broncos.
The Jaguars have held their last two opponents to 20 total points while amassing 13 sacks and a fumble recovery over their past two contests. Denver has relinquished the 11th most fantasy points to opposing defenses this season. In a game that could very well turn into a defensive battle, Jacksonville deserves strong consideration for this weekend’s contest.
