2020 NFL mock draft: Washington Redskins add Chase Young
By Brad Weiss
The Washington Redskins are by far one of the worst teams in the NFL, and they have some serious issues from top to bottom. On Sunday, they went into Metlife to take on division rival New York, and by the time all was said and done, the quarterback controversy for the 2019 Redskins continued to gain steam.
Case Keenum was benched due to a coaches decision, and we finally got to see Dwayne Haskins. With Colt McCoy healthy, it could be back to the bench for Haskins, who the team took in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and will be the franchise quarterback moving forward once he gets the keys to the car.
In the first round of 2020, it is fair to say the Redskins are going to be picking early, and they would be wise to take the No. 1 defensive player on the board. Chase Young is the kind of edge rusher that can cause drastic improvements from Day 1, and you can be sure changes are coming to this organization sooner than later.
Prior to the 2019 NFL season, the Denver Broncos went out and traded for Joe Flacco, whose time was up with the Baltimore Ravens. So far through the first quarter of the season, the Broncos are still looking for their first win, and it is safe to say he is not the answer in the Mile High city.
There are a handful of quarterbacks who are going to go early in this draft, as teams have proven they are lacking a true leader under center so far this season. Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm is an extremely accurate passer, and for the Broncos, he would become just what this franchise has been looking for.
All he has done this season is absolutely light up the SEC, and for the Broncos, he would be the franchise guy they have been struggling to find since Peyton Manning was leading them to the Super Bowl. Fromm is not only accurate, but he is an absolute leader, and the Broncos should find themselves is complete rebuild mode now that their season has gone off the rails.
