2020 NFL mock draft: Washington Redskins add Chase Young
By Brad Weiss
The Miami Dolphins not only hold their own first round pick next April, but also the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Houston Texans first rounder. Incredibly, the season has already gone off the rails for the Steelers, who enter their Monday nigh matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals sitting at 0-3.
Big Ben Roethlisberger is out for the year, and based on what we have seen from the team in his absence, this could be a very early pick for the Dolphins. With the No. 6 overall selection, the Dolphins should look to bring in a franchise left tackle, replacing Laremy Tunsil, who the team traded to the Houston Texans this past month.
In Tristan Wirfs from Iowa, the Dolphins would be bringing in the kind of tackle that can come in and start right away on the left side. If the Dolphins decide to go quarterback at No. 1, bringing in a guy like Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert, they are going to want to make sure they are protecting him from Day 1.
The Atlanta Falcons have been one of the more disappointing teams in the NFL this season, and are fresh off a terrible loss to the Tennessee Titans at home in Week 4. If the Falcons do continue down this path, and miss out on the playoffs, it could spell the end for Dan Quinn, who at one time had led this team to a Super Bowl berth.
Looking at the Falcons roster, they certainly need help on both sides of the ball, and may want to consider bringing in the best safety in this draft class next April. Grant Delpit has the kind of skill set that is certain to land him in the top-10 of the 2020 NFL Draft, and would be a perfect addition to this Falcons secondary.
Atlanta proved that they need help back there, especially after seeing Marcus Mariota throw for over 230 yards and three touchdowns against zero interceptions this past Sunday. They have talent at the cornerback position in guys like Isaiah Oliver and Desmond Trufant, but safety is a liability at this point.
