5. Oklahoma State at Texas Tech – Over 63.5

Quietly, the Oklahoma State Cowboys have been one of the most impressive offensive teams in college football to start the 2019 season. Though freshman quarterback Spencer Sanders has weathered his share of ups and downs to start his career, he’s flashed big-time potential and is surrounded by elite playmakers in running back Chuba Hubbard and wide receiver Tylan Wallace.

Through their first five games of the 2019 campaign, the Cowboys are averaging 40.8 points per game. They also put up 30 points in a loss to Texas, perhaps the best defensive team that they’ve been up against to this point, and followed that up with a 26-point effort against a grinding, gritty Kansas State squad.

On the other hand, Texas Tech has been in a bad spot of late. Not only is quarterback Jett Duffey now in for injured starter Alan Bowman but the defense has been quite troublesome in their two games against Power 5 competition. The Red Raiders gave up 28 points in a loss to a questionable Arizona team and then were run off the field by Oklahoma, who put up 55 points last week.

Oklahoma State’s defense, however, has not been great in their own right, giving up 36 points to Texas and even conceding 36 points to Oregon State in their opener. And for the struggles he had against the Sooners, Duffey can lead a dangerous offense. As such, the over in this game is definitely among the best bets in college football Week 6.
