Tight Ends to Sit

Jason Witten (DAL) vs. GB

After two productive weeks in 2019, Witten hasn’t been of much use from a fantasy standpoint. He finished outside the top15 among tight ends the last two weeks and it’s not going to get much easier for him. Witten will be going up against the Green Bay Packers this week, and while they did not look too good against Philadelphia, they still have surrendered only 8.00 yards per reception to tight ends this year. Dallas may feel more inclined to run the ball with Zeke as the Packers did not look too good in that area last game with Jordan Howard steamrolling them for 87 yards and a hat-trick of touchdowns. With the possibility of the Cowboys more intrigued to run the ball on the ground, any chances of Witten being remotely productive for fantasy goes out the window. I’d keep my distance from him this week if I were you.

Delanie Walker (TEN) vs. BUF

Walker is a tricky fellow for me to decipher. One week I’m doubting his ability to put up points, then I’m feeling hopeful after he proves me wrong, and then my expectations drop because he underachieves the very next week. It can become frustrating to deal with, as with the rest of Tennessee’s offense. This week, Walker is facing Buffalo, and while he is TE7, the Bills have been causing problems for other tight ends this year. Walker had his first bad game of the year against the Falcons this past week, and if he couldn’t do well against Atlanta, I’m not feeling all too optimistic he’s going to redeem himself against Buffalo. He’s also failed to find the end zone since Week 1 which is telling considering he played against suspect defenses like Indianapolis and Atlanta the last few games.
