PREVIEW

Two teams hanging their hats on backup quarterbacks will take center stage in a matchup that frankly, doesn’t provide much to love from a fantasy perspective. One team has an above-average defense (CAR) that ranks 4th in pass DVOA. The weaknesses for both defenses, however, comes against the rushing game, as they rank 29th (CAR) and 23rd (JAC) in rush DVOA.

CASH PLAYS

  • Christian McCaffrey (RB – CAR): After receiving 37 touches last week, he’s currently on pace for 344 carries and 2,516 yards from scrimmage on the season. Only one other RB on the roster has even seen a snap (Reggie Bonnafon) and he’s only seen 4. Don’t overthink this one.
  • Carolina D/ST: They’ve recorded 14 sacks, 3 interceptions and a fumble recovery over the last two weeks (ARI, HOU) and now take on one of the most lackluster offenses in the league. They’re also under $4,500 on FanDuel and $3,000 on DraftKings.

GPP PLAYS

  • Curtis Samuel (WR – CAR): The targets are there (18 in his last two games with Kyle Allen), but the production hasn’t been. Even so, he remains the fastest receiver on the team and if he can get past A.J. Bouye once or twice, that’s all it would take to hit big and pay off his cheap salary.
