NFL DFS: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints

PREVIEW

Hello darkness my old friend…I’ve come to roster Jameis Winston again….yep, it’s another week where Jameis Winston should garner heavy ownership against a Saints offense that has allowed the 6th most fantasy points to WRs and the 3rd most fantasy points to QBs. The fact that this game is in a dome only heightens the upside for offensive production, as there will be zero wind or weather concerns.

The Saints offense looks a whole lot different with Teddy Bridgewater at the helm and has a deceptively tough matchup against a defense that ranks 1st overall in rush DVOA and 15th overall in pass DVOA. With that said, they’ll have to keep pace with a team that posted 54 points last week, so I would expect a ton of volume in this one.

CASH PLAYS

  • Jameis Winston (QB – TB): While he’s thrown at least one interception in 3 of his 4 games this season, Winston has now topped 380 passing yards or more in his last two games with 7 total touchdowns. The Saints have allowed the 2nd most (25.2) fantasy points per game to QBs this season.
  • Chris Godwin (WR – TB): With Marshon Lattimore shadowing Mike Evans while Godwin operates out of the slot, he could continue to build on his 12-172-2 outing from last week in a potential shootout.
  • Michael Thomas (WR – NO): Thomas played an immaculate game last week, catching 9 of 9 targets from Teddy Bridgewater for 95 yards against the stout Cowboys defense. Now, he gets the chance to square off with the Bucs in a potential shootout and finds himself under $8k on FanDuel.

GPP PLAYS

  • Alvin Kamara (RB – NO): There are other more reliable options around this price point for cash games, but it’s hard to argue with Kamara’s upside. He’s seen 45 touches over the last two weeks and his 89-yard performance last week should be considered his floor in this high-scoring affair.
  • Mike Evans (WR – TB): Evans has ripped off 4 touchdowns over his last two games, he’ll square off with Marshon Lattimore as mentioned above, making him a second-priority in this matchup but one with plenty of upside as shown by his 67-yard touchdown last week as he burned the secondary.
