NFL DFS: Chicago Bears @ Oakland Raiders

PREVIEW

The first NFL game in London this season features two sub-par offenses and it can be a bit scary to roster players in the London game due to narrative factors such as jet-lag, field conditions, etc. On top of that, Mitchell Trubisky injured his shoulder last week, leaving Chase Daniels in charge of leading the Bears offense against a porous Raiders defense.

While the matchup is favorable, it’s hard to trust a backup in an already sub-par offensive system. On the flip side, the Raiders are up for an extremely tough test against a defense that 10 sacks, 7 turnovers and 1 touchdown over the last two weeks.

CASH PLAYS

  • Bears D/ST: As stated above, they’ve forced 10 sacks, 7 turnovers and scored a touchdown over their last two games. Tyrell Williams is already hobbled for this Oakland offense and they’re only implied to score 17.75 points, which could end up being rather generous.
  • David Montgomery (RB-CHI): After receiving only 7 touches in week 1, Montgomery has seen 19-16-24 touches over the last three weeks and has seen his snap share increase every week to a season-high 69% (nice) last weekend. The Bears are favored by almost a touchdown and with Trubisky out, we could see them rely on the ground game more than usual. He’s way too cheap across the industry.
